There are many different strategies that you can use in NBA 2K21 to give you an advantage over your opponents. One of those strategies is to call for a screen. So, in today’s article, we will show you how to call for a screen in NBA 2K21 on Playstation 4, Xbox One and Switch.

What is Screening in NBA?

If you are new to basketball, screening is quite a popular way that is used by teams to sort of provide an offensive player more room to shoot, dribble, or even receive a pass. This happens when a player from your team is blocking an opposing player that is attempting to defend against your efforts.

Note: When pulling off screenings in NBA 2K21, you should be careful not to do them in an illegal manner.

How to Call for Screen

Fortunately, if you want to call for a screen in NBA 2K21, it is a fairly straightforward process just like in the previous editions of NBA 2K. In order to call for a screen, you will need to hold down L1 for Playstation 4 (or LB if you are playing on Xbox One and L for Switch). Then, one of your teammates will quickly move towards the area of the court and position themselves in front of the player who is in possession of the ball.

If you just press L1 (LB or L) for a short period of time, your teammate will move only briefly. This is why you should hold the button down for as long as you want your teammate to remain in position as a screen.

If you wish to change the angle of the screen, you can just press the left thumbstick. This will block the defender in a range of different locations to free up other passing and running lanes for you which should then result in easy baskets.
