How to Use Tailwind
High level players use Jett on tight corners because of the high probability of escape with Tailwind that no other agents can do. Good players usually refrain from holding corners because it is easy to throw area of effect damage as an attacker to filter out possibilities of a camped corner angle.
You can play aggressively with almost no repercussions as long as you push through angles and escape masterfully with her Tailwind. A few examples would be in long pathways or hallways that once you peek through, you have a long way to walk through to get out.
This gives Jett a better opportunity to use an Operator than most agents. She can give you the most value as she can easily peek and kill with an Operator and return safely with the strategy that was just mentioned.
Always keep in mind of your position to distinguish which direction to Tailwind to. You might hit a wall while trying to escape out of combat and it would definitely lead to the opponent getting an easy kill. Jett can also use Tailwind to get out of Trapwires once activated.
How to Use Cloudburst
Cloudburst is used more to deter pushes after aggressively peeking which makes Jett one of the most aggressive agents in the game. She can push angles with longer pathways and get away with it with the use of Cloudburst and Tailwind.
Cloudburst is relatively cheap and can hold up to 3 charges. This gives you more opportunities to perform more than once in a round.
How to Use Updraft
Jett can use Updraft to position herself in unique angles that forces enemies to check more locations when pushing.
This is a perfect for example for using Updraft on defense. Once your enemy pushes on A Cubby, You are holding an unusual position that will force your enemy to look up. An even better strategy will be to get another teammate next to you and bait out an enemy.
It can go both ways if you decide to be the bait instead. If you are in trouble, you can always tailwind back and have the box cover your exit. Be careful because you are more prone to flashes when using Updraft to get to different unique angles.
Practice doing 180 degree turns as you might be encountering more situations where you might get flashed while floating in air if ever you decide pushing with Updraft with a Blade Storm active.
How to Use Blade Storm
Blade Storm requires a lot of mechanical skills and is highly technical to use. Her blades are still precise while floating in air and puts you in a slight advantage when dueling. The alternate fire has a huge spread and it would take at least 3 body shots or 1 headshot to take an enemy down.
Keep track of how many daggers you have left before using your alternate fire. If you have fewer than 4 daggers left, I suggest refraining from using alternate fire as missing and not killing the target will make you defenseless. Getting a kill will refresh the number of daggers you have.
Jett is one of the unique agents that can get an advantage from using certain weapons because of her kit. With the strategy mentioned above when holding an Operator, if an engagement is inevitable, you can use your Blade Storm and have a better weapon in short range battles as to holding an Operator.
Same goes with holding a Bucky or a Judge as Blade Storm is also a strong long range weapon if you can hit your targets.
